Matt 7:11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
People often try to handle life on their own and only when they face a great difficulty, loss, or crisis do they begin to look outside themselves and beyond what is familiar. When we hunker down in our self-sufficiency and pride we exclude ourselves from the generosity of God. Whether conscious or not, we are closing off our hearts to Him.
But, what if we had peace? What if we had peace in any and all situations? What if there was no worry, no strife, no consternation in our circumstances? What if we trusted Him in the face of impossibilities? What if our relationships had no jealousy or unforgiveness? What if we had PEACE?
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
God is not stingy. In fact He is generous. He wants to give; it is His nature to give. He looks for those he can give to and through.
Church, He is the Prince of Peace and wants to give this of Himself to the world. We, the church, are to be His vessel of generous peace, pouring it out to others. We have freely received this precious gift from Him so that we can freely give it away. It is a never-ending supply!

When people see true peace in the middle of worry and chaos they are drawn to it. The true peace of God is beautiful and attractive.
A Holiday Challenge: During our gatherings and celebrations this season, let us be aware and open towards those around us that we may not usually reach out to. Let us open our hearts and homes to those who God wants very much to give peace to. Let us be generous with what God has given us and share it with others!
Luke 14:23 "And the master said to the slave, 'Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.
