Psalms 148:1-5— “Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all stars of light! Praise Him, highest heavens, and the waters that are above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created.“

All of creation ... even the stars, praise His name!

We’ve just left Thanksgiving behind - the holiday where most gather around a table and share what they are thankful for. While I’m truly grateful for this moment, I don’t want to just be “thankful.” I want to be so filled with thanks that I praise Him. Praise the One Who created me and all things; praise the One Who carries us through seasons of our lives; praise the One Who has perfect timing and a perfect plan; praise the One Whose hand pours out His favor and blessings upon us; praise the One Who came to rescue us!!

You see, we “enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.” (Psalms 100:4 NASB) It’s both, Thanksgiving and praise! When all of creation is praising Him, why shouldn’t we?

Let's praise the Name of the Lord today, as everything we need is found IN Him - IN His name. His name becomes our refuge and place to hide; His name becomes our victory; His name becomes our peace; and His name is our salvation. No other God leaves His throne to rescue His people ... to bring peace on earth.

As we look toward this Christmas season, let’s praise His name. Let’s lift the name of Jesus over Sonoma. There has been so much destruction going on; let’s be the living answer!  Let’s share the good news of the gospel in the form of thanksgiving and praise! When you're thankful and full of praise ... your light shines before men! (Matt 5:16)

...even the stars praise Him.

In His joy and peace,
Danielle Perez
